Steam treatment

The top of the saucepan is covered with a metal sieve, which is installed to place containers on it. When the water begins to boil, a jar is placed upside down on the sieve. Gas ovens are used much less frequently to sterilize containers. To process the jars in this way, they need to be placed in a heated oven for 10 minutes. Before processing, it is recommended to fill the container a quarter with water.

Most often, special screw caps are used to curl vegetables, which must also be sterilized before use. To do this, they should be boiled in water for 20 minutes. You need to be very careful when removing them from hot water. For this, it is recommended to use tweezers so as not to accidentally burn yourself.

Classic recipe

Having prepared the container and seaming lids, you can start preparing the twist. Quite often, a classic recipe is used to create such a snack. In this case, you will need the following ingredients:

  • a kilogram of cucumbers;
  • dill;
  • horseradish leaf;
  • two heads of garlic;
  • two peppers;
  • bay leaf;
  • currant leaf.

Marinade is prepared from the following components:

  • litere of water;
  • 100 g of salt;
  • 200 g sugar;
  • 70 g citric acid.

The preparation of winter preservation begins with the preparation of the most important ingredients. It is recommended to use small cucumbers that can fit into the jar without any problems. They are pickled whole, so there is no need to cut them into pieces. Before curling, all cucumbers are soaked in water for several hours.

While the cucumbers are soaking, you can start preparing all the other ingredients. The garlic is peeled and cut into several small pieces. Then you need to prepare the pepper. It is cut into several pieces so that all seeds can be removed from it. After that, the pepper, along with garlic, horseradish, dill, bay leaves and currants, are placed in jars.

When all the ingredients are placed in the seaming containers, you should start creating the marinade.

It is quite simple to prepare it. For this, a small saucepan is poured with water, to which salt, sugar and citric acid are added. The liquid is brought to a boil and heated over low heat for about 25 minutes. After that, all jars of vegetables are filled with it. After 10 minutes, the marinade is drained from the cans, boiled again and poured back again. After conservation, jars of pickles are taken to the basement for further storage.
